Studio Assistant

Be the friendly face and organised force that keeps our studio moving.

Full-time · London

The role

As a Studio Assistant at forpeople, you’ll be the custodian of one of our most important assets – our studio. Your role is about creating a welcoming and inspiring environment that reflects our culture and values, keeping the studio running smoothly day to day, and ensuring it’s a place where people can do their best work.

You’ll bring energy, warmth, and organisation to everything you do, whether that's welcoming guests, setting up meeting rooms, keeping things running behind the scenes, or supporting the team with travel, events, and admin.

Who we’d like to find

Since 2004, we’ve grown from only four to over a hundred by finding the right people – people that don’t only slot right in to our studio culture, but bring something incredible to it.

This role calls out for someone who:

Is a natural people person — You bring warmth, professionalism, and positivity to every interaction. From greeting clients at the door to helping a colleague with a quick request, you make people feel welcome, valued, and looked after.

Keeps things running seamlessly — You’re the kind of person who spots what needs doing before anyone else does. Organised, proactive, and reliable, you take pride in keeping the wheels turning and making sure the studio runs like clockwork.

Rolls up their sleeves and embraces variety — No two days are the same here. You enjoy switching gears and getting stuck in, whether you’re setting up a meeting, coordinating travel, or helping with an event. For you, no task is too big or too small — you’re all about making things happen.

Cares deeply about the experience — You notice the small but important touches that make a space feel inspiring and welcoming. From thriving plants to well-prepared meeting rooms, you know it’s these details that shape how people feel when they walk through our doors.

Brings something unexpected — We don’t know what this is, but you do. We want to see skills, interests, and abilities that only you can bring to our team. Actor? Ultra Runner? Campanologist? We want people who can bring unique passions and perspectives into our world.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Open the studio each morning, making sure spaces are set up and ready for the day.

  • Be the friendly, professional first point of contact – welcoming visitors, managing calls, and taking care of our studio environment.

  • Keep the studio tidy and organised so it always reflects our design culture — from well-prepared meeting rooms to thriving plants.

  • Manage meeting room bookings and prepare spaces for client, supplier, and internal meetings.

  • Organise post, couriers, and shipments, and make sure supplies never run out.

  • Book and coordinate travel for the team.

  • Support recruitment processes – scheduling interviews, preparing materials, gathering feedback, as well as helping to onboard new joiners, freelancers, and work experience.

  • Assist with planning and running events for staff, alumni, clients, and partners.

  • Support health & safety processes, acting as a First Aider and Fire Marshal.

  • Provide day-to-day admin support to the Operations team and wider studio.

  • In the absence of the Resource Manager, help coordinate resourcing for projects, including updating planning tools and troubleshooting clashes.

Who we are

We're an employee-owned creative studio, working globally from an old pickle factory in London, and a former garage in Amsterdam. Our team of over 130 weaves together a diverse range of skills: from graphic, product, spatial and interaction design to moving image, writing, research and strategy.

Over the last 20 years, we’ve quietly shaped the future of some of the world’s most well-known brands as well as creating others you’ll soon get to discover. Our work is wide-reaching, from defining brand visions to building identities and designing experiences. Yet everything we do is born from a simple philosophy – we feel, think and do for people.
